Lund, Sweden – 9 July 2018 – BioInvent International AB (OMXS: BINV) announces today that the Japanese patent office has decided that the company’s patent application relevant to its unique, function-based F.I.R.S.T.™ platform now can proceed to grant. The patent will be granted once all remaining administrative actions, such as payment of fees, have been completed by BioInvent. More precisely, the patent relates to combined use of differential biopanning and high throughput sequencing, such as NGS in identification of antibodies to low expressed cell surface antigens.

Corresponding patents has earlier been accepted by the European Patent Office (EPO) and in Australia and Russia. The company has similar patent applications pending in further countries.
